CCNSG SAFETY PASSPORT




Premier Corporate Training Services limited is approved by the Engineering Construction Industry Training (ECITB) to deliver the Client Contractor National Safety Group (CCNSG) Nationally Accredited Safety Passport Scheme.

The Safety Passport Scheme was developed by major industrial groups with the aim of providing a standard for the general Health and Safety Training of Contractors working in the construction and related industries.

Successful completion of the training programme and the associated assessment provides tremendous benefits, for instance:

- Reduction in accident rates;

- Reduction in company costs due to reduction in incident related costs;

- Route toward compliance with Management of Health & safety at Work Regulations & CDM regulations.

- The Health & Safety Executive has commended the scheme in a report.

- Companies are making the ownership of a safety passport compulsory for contract staff

- Standard Course (2 days);

- Renewal Course (1 day – a refresher course to be completed at 3 yearly intervals).

Course content

By the end of the course, delegates should be able to:

- Explain Health and Safety law and permits to work
- Outline safe working practices relating to scaffolding
- Outline safe working practices for access and exiting
- Describe accident and first aid procedures
- Explain fire precautions and procedures
- Define COSHH and personal protective equipment
- Explain the theories of Manual Handling
- Outline noise procedures and practices
- Define the regulations for work with cranes and heavy equipment
- Outline the excavations procedures and practices
